On October 18, we held a practical training workshop on mental health consultation and support for gambling disorders at the Akita Prefectural Education Center.
Akita Prefectural site is also working on support for addiction, and is currently planning to develop a support program for addiction recovery. For developing and disseminating the program, the workshop was held using to the Shimane Addiction Training program for Gambling disorder (SAT-G). Mr. Hiroshi Sato, who was a chief PSW at Shimane Prefectural Heart and Body Consultation Center and had developed the SAT-G, was invited to give lectures on basic knowledge of gambling disorders and support using the SAT-G. On the day, more than 50 people participated from various organizations in Akita, and everyone made efforts to role-play.
We hope that lots of people will receive benefit from the development of programs to support the recovery of addictions.
